Many artists, including myself, use social media to connect with others, show our content, share our views, and a myriad of other things, however, the biggest social media platforms, particularly youtube, are owned by google, with few alternatives, odysee however is one of those alternatives, and i highly reccomend posting there if you oppose generative AI, and even if you don't.

Why you should use odysee

Youtube is owned by google, and trains their generative AI on videos uploaded there, understandably you may not want to leave youtube and you don't have to, but many of your viewers may, and uploading to odysee makes that transition easier for many, and possibly gives you more reach.

Automatically crosspost

Recognizing that many creators may not want to take time to manually upload their videos to odysee, odysee has a youtube sync feature, that allows you to automatically upload past and future videos to the platform once its set up.

What if my content doesn't get views?

Building an audience is difficult, especially on a platform that is not your main focus, but simply crossposting here, even if you don't get views, expands the library of content available, and weaken's youtube's strangehold on video content, which DOES matter.

Decentralized anti-ai moderation

Because of the decentralized nature of odysee, it is quite easy for projects like blackwall to moderate, and hide AI channels for others, by setting our odysee account as a "moderator" in your settings, channels we label as using AI can be automatically blocked for you, cleaning your feeds and hurting this kind of content.

note: setting us as moderator does not give us privledges over your channel, it only makes it so channels we have blocked(which we only block in the case they use generativeAI) are blocked for you as well.
